In a congratulatory speech, Park Jong-tae, president of Incheon National University, praised Ban Ki-moon, "Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, a person who has directly witnessed the change and development of the Republic of Korea through his long public life, and a living witness to the history of contemplating peace and order around the world." He then said, "I would like to listen to the members of Incheon National University about how the life of the UN Secretary-General is projected in reality, what are the concerns of the lonely leader in the difficult reality, and how he has solved them."

Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who gave his first special lecture at Incheon National University's Department of Law with the new semester in 2024, warned of the "grave of the climate crisis and global warming" and preached ways for the Earth and humanity to coexist.

In addition, he calmly expressed his leadership in constant communication and discussion with the leaders of each country while serving as UN secretary-general.

Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a special lecture, "I visited Incheon National University for the third time today, but it is the first time to see and discuss with university members in person," adding, "I first learned that the flags of more than 50 countries on campus symbolize the countries of origin of foreign students studying at Incheon National University." Incheon National University, which practices global talent development while interacting with people around the world amid rapid growth, is eventually in line with the direction of the UN today, he said.

He then emphasized, "After the Industrial Revolution, rapid economic growth has made human life convenient, but on the contrary, global interest and practical norms for human coexistence in the midst of the climate crisis and global warming must be materialized before it is too late." He also said, "The current youth should make efforts to create a sustainable country, raise their voices for future generations' prosperity, and exert global citizenship on education, disease resolution, overcoming poverty, and increasing women's authority."

Jang Min-jeong, president of the Incheon National University Law Association who attended the special lecture, said, "It was so fun and an honor to meet former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, whom I saw on television, and to hear the narrative from his experience in person." Through today's special lecture, we had an opportunity to rethink the seriousness of the climate crisis and seek ways to practice it in our lives, and the words of former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who gives advice in love for future generations, were all touching.

Lee Choong-hoon, head of the law department at Incheon National University, who planned and prepared a series of special lectures on careers in the law department for the first semester of 2024, said, "Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who has raised the status and national dignity of the Republic of Korea to the world, is already a person who has risen to the ranks of world leaders, and his message to all mankind makes us look back on the Earth that has been running forward and face the challenges of our time for common prosperity."

The special lecture invited by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, which allowed warm warmth to cross the campus of Incheon National University, ended with the hospitality of university members despite the spring day in March when the cold snap is still raging. And on April 4th (Thursday) at 3 p.m., a special lecture will be held at the seminar room on the third floor of the professor's hall for the first semester of 2024 by Jung Jae-hwan, a broadcaster, three career special lectures major in the law department of Incheon National University.
